Our lead lined observation windows are manufactured in our UK workshop to meet customers’ individual requirements. With an established client base each order is bespoke and manufactured to precise structural opening sizes. They feature a lead core that runs through the frame and architraves to provide continuous protection and ensure peace of mind.
The windows are glazed with lead glass that complies with International Standards IEC 61331-2:2014 and our manufacturing process adheres to an ISO 9001:2015 accredited quality system.
The thickness of lead required for radiation protection is specified by a Radiation Protection Advisor, ranging from 1.32mm (Code 3) to 3.55mm (Code 8) to achieve various levels of radiation protection.
While fire-rating is not often a requirement for viewing windows, it can be achieved by using specialist glazing to meet FR30 and FR60 requirements.
Viewing windows are available in a range of finishes and colours allowing customers to brighten the interior and create designated zones based on frame colour.

The frames are manufactured from FSC® certified hardwood with a lead core and are available in the following finishes:
- Paint grade primer
- Clear lacquer
- PVC clad
