Iodine treatment rooms at NHS Grampian
Envirotect Limited have completed the design, development and installation of the Iodine Treatment Rooms at NHS Grampian’s state of the art Emergency Care Centre, one of the largest of its type in Europe. The new facility which is estimated to have cost £110 million will bring emergency and unscheduled care services under one roof and provide 350 inpatient beds. Working with main contractor Robertson, Envirotect Limited installed thick lead shielding to walls and service penetrations as well as 20mm lead equivalent patient observation windows all on level 6 of the building site. Matching doors with 4mm shielding were also installed. The new centre was delivered on time and within budget.
