Orders continue as brand strength helps Envirotect navigate economic challenges
Radiation protection company Envirotect reports that, like many British manufacturers, it has had to navigate its way through some difficult economic challenges, in addition to effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Envirotect says that, although the UK leaving the European Union has not made it easy to export goods, it has managed to maintain its market presence throughout the UK and Europe.
Managing director Niven Smith explained “Envirotect’s brand strength remains high, driven by our long-standing reputation. In the first quarter of the year, we manufactured four RF cages for a customer based in France, with a further six cages required during the second quarter. On average we have previously manufactured around five cages a year for this customer so to double this quantity in the first six months of the year is an achievement. This is not taking into consideration our RF cage orders for the UK market”
Accredited to ISO 9001:2015, radiation and RF shielding products are manufactured at Envirotect’s workshop facility in Bedfordshire. With in-house design, development, engineering and manufacturing capability the company can maintain control over the entire production process to ensure quality is maintained.
In addition, the company says it is the only copper RF shield manufacturer based in the UK that is member accredited and able to display the Made in Britain mark. Wherever possible materials and suppliers originating in the UK are used, enabling faster manufacturing and delivery.
Envirotect offers a range of radiation and RF shielding products, including lead-lined panels, door sets, observation windows, x-ray screens, lead glass, cabinets, lead vinyl and associated products for MRI.
